Bamburgh Beach

In March I was teaching on a Long Exposures workshop with Inspiring Photography. As a tutor you don’t get much chance to do your own photography but on the final evening all the clients were blissfully capturing the waves on Bamburgh Beach so I quickly made my own interpretation of the swirling interaction of sea, sand and stone. Not a typical ‘milky water’ long exposure but one taken at 0.8 second. I think it captures the retreating wave rather nicely.

CUILLIN SOUND AUTUMN 2012 UK CONCERT TOUR

Cuillin Sound is an innovative wind trio with a passion to perform in major concert venues and for local communities.  Their 2012 autumn tour begins tonight in Birnam Arts Centre.

One item on the programme will feature 50 of my Hebridean photos projected as a backdrop to a piece inspired by Hebridean folk melodies. After Birnam they perform at the Forge in London, launch their CD, then give 8 more concerts finishing in Ballater at St Kentigern’s Church 4.30pm on Sunday 9th December – if you miss them in Birnam!   The full list of dates is on their Events page at www.cuillinsoundmusic.co.uk
